While attending Macy’s 50th Fourth of July Celebration in New York City on Saturday, July 4, the mother of the groom, 74, was asked to share details about the superstar couple’s nuptials.

The pair tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony at New York’s Madison Square Garden on July 3.

“I really can’t say a heck of a lot except it was magical, man, magical,” said Donna in an interview posted on Macy’s Instagram on Sunday, July 5.

Donna kept additional details about the wedding private, choosing instead to reminisce about taking her sons, Travis, 36, and Jason Kelce, to watch the Fourth of July fireworks as children.

“I remember I used to take the boys down to Lake Erie and we would watch the fireworks in Euclid, Ohio, and we had the best time,” she said.

On Thursday, July 2, Donna was seen arriving in N.Y.C. ahead of her son Travis and daughter-in-law Swift’s rehearsal dinner, PEOPLE previously reported.

The pop superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 36, tied the knot on July 3 wearing looks created by Christian Dior Haute Couture, Swift’s rep confirmed to PEOPLE.

“The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom. This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. “Taylor walked down the aisle to a stage where they said ‘I do,’ [and] their vows were about 20 minutes each,” the source said. “After the ceremony, Taylor’s mom invited everyone into the reception room where a stage was set up [for guest performers].”
