Hey viewers, here’s the final part of the story. If you have not watched episode 1 and 2, kindly do so that you can understand it better. Night after night, while the massive mansion slept peacefully, Rachel would sit alone in her room with files, documents, and sales agreements spread carefully across her bed.
The woman who once slept peacefully beside her husband now slept beside calculators, passports, and property papers. Planning, calculating, and preparing. Every single night, she worked quietly like somebody preparing for war. And the frightening part was that nobody suspected her. Not Chief Funzim, not Anita, not even the workers who moved around the house every day.
To everyone else, Rachel was simply a broken woman trying to survive humiliation. But inside her mind, a dangerous escape plan was growing patiently. She picked up the agreement slowly and smiled faintly. Everything was almost ready. Her hands trembled slightly as she arranged the documents carefully into separate envelopes.
One envelope for property sales, another for account transfer, another for travel arrangement. And at some point, she paused and looked around the room. Years ago, she and Chief would stay awake laughing inside that same room when they wanted to hide from people in the house. Sometimes they would gist until midnight like best friends.
And most times, he would hold her hands and promise her that no woman would ever come between them. Rachel laughed bitterly to herself. “Men,” she whispered painfully. Then suddenly, the door opened. Quickly, she gathered the envelopes together. Before she could hide them properly, Chifunza walked in unexpectedly. Her blood nearly froze.
For one dangerous second, both of them simply stared at each other. Then Rachi’s eyes moved quickly towards the documents. If Chifunza saw those papers clearly, everything would end immediately. And that was when something unbelievable happened. Like lightning, Rachi switched completely. She grabbed the envelopes.
Then she burst into prayer. “Father Lord.” Chifunza stopped moving. He was confused at that point because he knew very well that when he entered, Rachi was not praying. So how did this woman transform from secret agent to intercessor within 2 seconds? Rachi pressed the envelopes tightly against her chest and continued praying passionately.
“Lord, please don’t let the enemies destroy the work of my hands.” Chifunza blinked repeatedly. “What’s going on?” he muttered. Rachi became even more dramatic. ; [laughter] ; “Father, since my husband has decided to pursue everything where we’re scared, including pregnant women, please protect the only things they’ve given me joy.
” Chifunza winced visibly. That job entered directly. Still praying, Rachi held the envelopes tightly, hiding the crucial information. “This business will not die in the mighty name of Jesus. No enemy shall steal my peace.” Tears suddenly rolled down her cheeks because in that moment, the pain was genuinely too much.
Chifunza shifted uncomfortably near the door. At that moment, he saw clearly how damaged his wife had become. ; [snorts] ; The proud woman he married now found comfort only in praying over her business documents at midnight. Slowly, he stepped into the room properly. Rachi, he called out. She ignored him and continued praying.
Lord, do not let my businesses fail. Uphold every one of them with your right hand of righteousness. Cause me to find favor in your sight and the sight of men. Rachi, Chifuze repeated. This time she slowly stopped and wiped her face pretending like she just noticed him. Oh, you are here? Chifuze frowned slightly.
But you were not praying before I entered. For one dangerous second, Rachi’s heart nearly stopped, but immediately she lowered her eyes and then she said, I was only catching my breath when you entered. It has been a routine for me to always pray for my business since you turned me into a single mother in marriage.
I use my documents as a point of contact. With the way she said it with composure, it would only take a carrier of the spirit of God to know that she was lying. Chifuze looked away guiltily. Oh, chief, she continued. What else do I have apart from God? That question pierced him deeply. He moved closer and replied, You still have me.
Rachi almost laughed out loud, but she looked at him with tired eyes and then she asked, Then why? Chifuze could not answer immediately because even he knew the truth. The mansion no longer felt like Rachi’s home. It felt like a battlefield she was losing slowly. He sighed heavily and rubbed his forehead. I know things have not been easy.
Not easy? Rachi repeated. Another woman wakes up every morning in my house and reminds me that she gave you a son. Your relatives suddenly worship her like a goddess. Even the workers no longer know who the real madam is. And this is how you describe it. Chief Ifunze opened his mouth to speak, but Rachi continued.
And the painful part is that you allowed it. Now, the guilt inside him became heavier. As he faced the wall, she hid her envelope immediately. Chief turned back and reached for her hand carefully. “My dear, everything will be fine.” he said. Rachi stared at him quietly. And inside her mind, she said, “No, Chief.
Everything is about to end.” Then she forced a smile and replied, “Yes, Chief.” Chief Ifunze stood up slowly and walked towards the door. There he paused. “You should sleep early.” he said. “You look tired.” Rachi nodded obediently. The moment the door closed behind him, the expression on her face changed instantly. The tears disappeared.
The weakness disappeared. The prayerful wife disappeared, and the strategist returned. Quickly, she locked the door, and then she rushed back to the bed. She released a deep breath. “That was so close.” she whispered. Then she sat down and began planning, calculating, and preparing. Because somewhere deep inside her heart, she already knew that very soon, Chief Ifunze would wake up one morning and discover that the woman he took for granted had disappeared from his life completely.
After that night, she became even more careful. Every movement she made was calculated, and every word was measured. In fact, if somebody entered the mansion at that point, they would think Rachi had finally accepted her fate peacefully. She no longer argued with Anita. No longer questioned Chief Ifunze, and no longer cried openly.
Anita especially enjoyed the new version of Rachi. To her, it looked like defeat. The woman now walked around the mansion calmly while Anita behaved like the crown queen of the house. Sometimes, Anita would intentionally sit on Chief’s lap in the sitting room while Rachi passed by. Other times, she would loudly discuss baby products and inheritance plans where Rachi could hear clearly.
One afternoon, Anita even laughed and said to one of the workers, “Some women fight destiny too much. If God says another woman will give the family a son, who are we to question heaven?” The worker became uncomfortable immediately because Rachi was standing nearby. But surprisingly, Rachi simply smiled faintly and walked away.
That particular calmness started disturbing Anita slowly because somehow, she wanted her to behave like a wounded lion. Meanwhile, the real activity was happening secretly behind the scenes. Rachi continued selling her businesses quietly one after another. And because she used agents from another state entirely, nothing linked the transactions back to her directly.
Chief Uzo remained completely unaware. Besides, every morning, Rachi still dressed beautifully and left the mansion exactly the way she used to when managing her business. Even the workers believed that madam was still going to her office. The remaining staff in the businesses were also retained so nothing would look suspicious.
It was the perfect cover. Sometimes, Rachi would even stop by the office buildings briefly just so people would continue seeing her around. Then quietly, behind everybody’s back, ownership would change hands. One evening while she was reviewing travel documents secretly inside her car, her phone rang.
It was the immigration officer helping her with a passport. “Madam, everything is ready.” he said. Rachi closed her eyes slowly and cried. This time it was tears of joy because finally it’s about to go down. “Thank you.” she whispered emotionally. That night she sat alone in the room staring at her children sleeping peacefully.
Her daughters had no idea their lives were about to change forever. “I am sorry.” she whispered. “Oh, Mommy has to save us.” A tear rolled down her face immediately because despite everything make we no lie, leaving was not easy. Remember, that mansion carried years of memories. It was where she became a wife, where she gave birth, where she built businesses beside Chief Uzor.
But now it no longer felt like a home. It felt like a prison decorated with gold. You see this God, eh? He really works in mysterious ways because tell me why she was thinking of how to pack without Chief finding out. Only for Chief to announce that that weekend he would be traveling.
Anita smiled proudly because she already knew why. He wanted the elders to formally meet the heir to his dynasty. Chief Uzor could barely hide his happiness. Anita too laughed happily and then she was suggesting what and what not to buy. Only Rachi remained quiet, but inside she was grateful for the perfect timing. That night, while everybody slept, she sat awake till almost morning making final arrangements.
Her travel bags were checked repeatedly. Documents were arranged carefully as she packed everything into the wardrobe and locked it. That weekend, the mansion became noisy with preparations for the village trip. Workers moved up and down carrying bags. Anita dressed like a queen attending coronation. Chief Uzor looked unusually happy carrying the baby proudly.
Before leaving, he even stopped by Rachi’s room. “Are you sure you don’t want to come?” he asked. Rachi smiled and replied, “No, chief. I’ll be here praying for you people.” Chief Uzor nodded, gave her some money, and then said, “Take care of yourself.” Those simple words almost made her emotional. She hugged him. Somebody sing, “Aiyyah.” Then finally, the convoy drove out of the mansion.
Rachi stood quietly on the balcony watching the cars disappear through the gates. The moment the last car vanished from sight, her expression changed completely. She entered her children’s room and packed. Her daughters were asking questions as expected, but she told them to calm down that she would answer the questions very soon. She used two days to pack.
Her trusted movers arrived quietly. The children were dressed casually, so nobody would suspect anything unusual. One of the younger housemates finally asked nervously, “Madam, are we traveling?” Rachi looked at her calmly and replied, “Yes.” “For how long, ma?” the maid asked. “My darling, I sincerely don’t know.
” Rachi replied. Their flight to Abuja was at night, and from Abuja, they disappeared completely to the United States. Meanwhile, back in the village, Chief Uzor was spraying money joyfully while traditional dancers sang his praises. The entire community celebrated him for finally producing a son.
He had no idea that at his house moment his real family was slipping out of his house forever. The celebration in the village lasted two full days. Three days of music, three days of dancing, and three days of endless praises from elders who suddenly treated Iche Foze like a king who had completed life successfully. Everywhere he turned, people congratulated him.
“Iche Foze, your lineage is secure now.” Even Anuli walked around proudly carrying the baby like a trophy. At some point, some people even mocked Iche quietly, not knowing that she had left them behind. Somehow throughout the celebration, one strange thing kept disturbing Chief. It was Iche. For some reason, her face refused to leave his mind.
Maybe it was because she sounded unusually calm before they traveled, or maybe it was the strange way she looked at him that morning, like somebody saying goodbye silently. Several times, he picked up his phone to call her, but each time village activities distracted him again. On the fifth day, they finally returned back to base. As the convoy entered the compound, Iche Foze immediately noticed something strange.
Normally, workers would rush outside immediately once they hear his cars, but today, nothing. Even the gateman looked nervous. Iche Foze frowned. “What’s going on?” “Nothing, sir.” The gateman answered quickly, but his voice shook badly. The moment Iche Foze stepped into the house, his heartbeat changed instantly because he felt so strongly that something was very wrong.
He climbed the staircase faster. “Iche!” he shouted. He pushed open the bedroom door and froze because the room was empty. The wardrobes were cleared. were No. No. He staggered backwards slowly. And at that moment, one of the workers appeared nervously at the door. Sir? Chifunza turned sharply. Where’s madam? The worker almost started crying.
Sir, she [laughter] packed her things and left. Chifunza’s eyes widened dangerously. She what? She left with the children, sir. The shout that came from Chifunza shook the entire mansion. Left to where? Nobody knew, or at least nobody admitted knowing. The workers trembled heavily. She did not tell anybody, sir.
Chifunza grabbed one worker violently. You people watch my wife leave this house, and nobody stopped her? Not even to call me so I can control everything from there? Sir, we all thought you knew. Knew what? That she’ll be traveling, sir, one of the workers said weakly. Chifunza released the one he was holding, and his breathing became unstable.
Then suddenly, he rushed downstairs and began dialing Raches’ number repeatedly. It was switched off. Again, switched off. And again, switched off. That was when fear truly entered him for the first time. Meanwhile, Anita stood there confused carrying the baby. What happened? Chifunza turned towards her slowly.
And for the first time since Anita entered his life, he looked at her with resentment. “When she left?” he said. The baby nearly slipped from Anita’s hand. “What? She left this house?” Anita forced an awkward laugh. “Oh, she will come back.” Chifunze looked at her coldly and snapped, “You don’t even have sense.” Because something inside him already knew that Nneka was gone for real.
Chifunze called everybody he knew, politicians, airport officials, friends, security contacts. There was no trace because Nneka was so smart not to have used the Lagos airport. “I beg, there will be buses for Nneka in the comments.” The following morning, he stormed Nneka’s parents’ house like an angry lion.
The old couple nearly fainted when they saw how angry he was. “Where is your daughter, my wife?” he turned at them immediately. They were confused. “Our daughter?” ; [laughter] ; “Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, Nneka’s mother burst into tears.
“Chief, we don’t know what you are talking about.” “Stop lying to me, oh.” he said. “By God, we truly don’t know where she is.” Chifunze began pacing angrily. “She disappeared with my children.” he said. Nneka’s father finally spoke. “Chief, maybe you should ask yourself why a woman would run away completely with your children.
” That statement annoyed him instantly. “You people should better pray nothing happens to my children.” “We should be asking you that.” Nneka’s mother cried painfully. “You were the one she lived with. Nothing must happen to our daughter.” Chifunze became silent briefly, then anger returned again. “If I don’t see her, every money I spent training her and opening businesses for her, you people will pay it back to the last copper.
The old couple stared at him in disbelief. Chief, the old man said weekly. Where do you expect poor people like us to see such money? But even while shouting, something kept disturbing Chief Uzor deeply. The parents genuinely looked confused. Which meant that Uche truly disappeared without telling anybody.
That realization frightened him badly, but he still maintained that her parents will pay to the last copper if she doesn’t return. When he finally returned home exhausted and frustrated, another shock was waiting for him. The following day, he decided to visit one of Uche’s business branches personally to know what’s happening and maybe put his own people there.
But the moment he entered the office, he met new managements. Good afternoon, sir. Chief Uzor frowned immediately. Who are you and what are you doing here? The manager swallowed hard. Sir, did madam not tell you? Tell me what exactly. The manager hesitated, then finally he said, Madam sold the company. Chief Uzor blinked slowly.
What? Yes, sir. For some seconds, Chief Uzor simply stared at him blankly, then he laughed suddenly, a dangerous laugh. What nonsense are you saying? The manager brought up documents with shaking hands. Sir, the transaction was completed legally. Chief Uzor snatched the papers violently and as his eyes scanned through the documents, his body suddenly became weak.
No. No, this can’t be. He kept on saying this no until he got home. He later found out that Arachi had sold everything and the day he did, the powerful Chief Mazi collapsed. When he opened his eyes again, the first thing he saw was hospital lights. Then slowly, voices entered his ears. “His blood pressure is still unstable.
He just needs to reduce stress around him.” “Did I just hear him reduce stress?” Chief Mazi almost laughed bitterly because tell me how exactly he was supposed to avoid stress when his wife had vanished into thin air with his children after secretly selling almost everything she owned. The doctors advised complete rest, but resting became impossible because Chief Mazi kept on calling people non-stop. “Track her accounts.
Check her purchase records. Find out where she went.” Still, nothing. It was as if Arachi disappeared from the face of the earth. After three days, he returned home weak and exhausted, but instead of peace, another problem was waiting for him. Without Arachi, the entire atmosphere changed completely.
The workers moved around fearfully. The house no longer gave that warmth. Even Anita seemed uncomfortable now because for the very first time since entering the mansion, she realized something shocking that Arachi had been the peace of the house and now that peace is gone. Suddenly, her baby became sick. I mean, so sick. At first, everybody thought it was ordinary fever, but the child kept crying endlessly, refusing milk and refusing sleep.
One day, the baby cried from night to almost morning. Chief Mazi nearly lost his mind and they had to take him to the hospital. Doctors run several tests. Then one elderly doctor said while revealing the results, “Sir, we need to run additional genotype test.” Chief arose and frowned immediately. “Why?” he asked. “There are some things we need to confirm.” the doctor replied.
Few days later, the results came out. They are Kama tribe. The child was SS. Chief arose and collected the paper calmly. Surely at first, but immediately his eyes landed on the result, his expression changed slowly. Because he’s AA, I mean very sure AA. So how exactly did Anita suddenly give birth to an SS child? ; [snorts] ; That question disturbed him deeply.
At first, he tried ignoring it, but the more he thought about it, the more restless he became. Finally, one evening he called Anita into the sitting room and said, “Sit down.” Anita immediately became nervous. “Is there any problem?” Chief arose and dropped the test results on the table and said, “What is this?” Anita glanced at the paper carelessly.
Then suddenly her face changed. “How did my child become SS?” Chief demanded. Anita swallowed hard. “Eh Chief, maybe it’s the hospital’s mistake. Oh, you know these stories we keep hearing here and there.” “My friend, shut up. Have you forgotten that I was in the hospital with you?” Chief roared. He stood up angrily and said, “I want a DNA test immediately.
” That statement nearly made Anita to collapse. “Chief, please. DNA is a waste of money. Have I left this house before? Trust me now, he’s your child.” As Kama is saying, “Anita, you are lying.” Chief nodded her head with his decision. The DNA test was done quietly. Only trusted medical personnel handled it because Chief wanted they do not want scandal.
Days later, the result arrived. And that was the day Chief was his word ended completely. He was not the father. Chief was there read the paper repeatedly. Again, again, and again. His hands started shaking violently. No! For almost 30 minutes, he sat there alone staring at the paper like a madman. Then finally, he exploded.
The shouts that came from his study terrified the entire mansion. Anita! Anita ran to the study trembling heavily. The moment she entered the study and saw the DNA result on the table, her legs nearly failed her. Chief was there looked like a wounded lion. Who is the father of that child? He demanded. Anita burst into tears immediately.
Chief, please forgive me. Chief was there grabbed the table violently. I said, who is the father? Anita cried uncontrollably. Chief, it was a mistake. Chief was there almost slapped her instantly. A mistake? Through tears and fear, Anita finally confessed that the child belonged to the driver.
The same driver that usually took her to her antenatal appointments whenever Chief was busy. Chief was there staggered back was slowly. For some seconds, he could not even process what he was hearing. The driver? Anita cried harder. Chief, I am sorry. That sorry nearly drove him insane. So, while I was destroying my marriage because of you, you were sleeping with my driver.
” The study became chaotic immediately. Chifunza scattered everything in sight. The staff heard screaming, crying, and things breaking continuously. Then suddenly, Chifunza stormed out furiously and shouted the driver’s name. The poor man nearly fainted immediately he saw the DNA results. “Sir, please forgive me.
” Chifunza punched him instantly. “How long has this nonsense been happening?” The driver cried openly. “Sir, it happened only a few times.” “Only a few times? Like how many times? 150 times or 1 million times? That statement, ‘only a few times,’ angered Chifunza even more. What he did to that driver, eh? Yeah. Meanwhile, Anita knelt down crying loudly.
“Chifunza, I am sorry.” But Chifunza was not interested in the so, not to talk of the re. That same day, he threw Anita and the driver out of the mansion completely. As Anita carried the baby out crying helplessly, reality finally hit her properly that the mansion she fought desperately to enter had rejected her completely.
After throwing them out, Chifunza expected to feel relieved. Instead, the mansion became even more unbearable. The silence inside the house was no longer peaceful. It was hurting. Everywhere he turned, memories of Rachel followed him like shadows. The dining table reminded him of the mornings she used to force him to eat before work, and the staircase reminded him of the days she would run downstairs excitedly whenever he returned from trips abroad.
For the first time in many years, Chifunza truly understood that a peaceful woman is the soul of a home. I take that again. A peaceful woman is the soul of a home. And he had destroyed his own home with his own hands. At first, pride refused to let him accept it fully. He kept telling himself Rachel would eventually come back.
“She cannot survive alone.” He would mutter. “She will get tired.” But weeks turned into months and Rachel never returned. Meanwhile, life abroad was not as glamorous as many people imagined. When Rachel first arrived in America with her children, reality hit her immediately. The weather alone nearly frustrated her. The cold felt like punishment from heaven.
Back in Nigeria, if somebody told her that she would someday wear three sweaters inside one house and still shiver, she would have laughed. But now, it has become her reality. Still, she remained determined. She rented a modest apartment and started rebuilding her life carefully. For the first few months, she cried almost every night after the children slept.
Not because she regretted leaving, but because starting life all over again was exhausting. Imagine going from living in a mansion with drivers and workers everywhere to suddenly carrying grocery bags by yourself in winter. At some point, one of her daughters innocently asked, “Mommy, are we poor now?” That question nearly broke her heart completely, but Rachel smiled and kissed her forehead.
“No, baby. We are just starting again.” Despite the pain, she refused to collapse emotionally. Thank God she was not an empty-headed rich man’s wife and slowly she began adjusting. She got small jobs first. Sometimes she worked double shifts and sometimes she returned home so exhausted that she slept on the couch without realizing it.
Then came another shock. One morning, while preparing breakfast, dizziness hit her badly. At first, she ignored it and assumed it was stress, but when the tiredness continued for weeks, one of her new friends advised her to take a pregnancy test. Wachi laughed immediately. “Impossible,” she said, but deep down fear already entered her heart, especially when she remembered that fateful night in episode two.
She bought the test quietly, and when the result appeared positive, she sat down on the floor and cried like a child because suddenly all the memories returned. Chifunzi, the betrayal, the humiliation, the mansion, Anita, and everything. For some moment, she genuinely considered doing something about it because she was emotionally tired.
Starting life abroad alone with children was already difficult enough. Now, another baby? But later that night, while her daughter slept peacefully beside her, she placed her hand on her stomach quietly, and something inside her softened. “This child did nothing wrong,” she whispered, and that was the moment she decided to keep it. Months later, she continued working while carrying the pregnancy carefully.
Sometimes she hid inside restroom stalls at work just to cry silently from stress, but she kept on moving. And strangely, that difficult season transformed her completely. Then finally, she gave birth. The karma child. Guess what it was? A baby boy. I mean, a bouncing baby boy. The moment the nurse placed the child in her arms, Wachi stared at him for a long time silently.
Then suddenly, she laughed through tears. Life truly has a strange sense of humor. The same thing that destroyed her marriage was now lying peacefully in her arms. And immediately, she made one decision. Chief Uzor would never know. Back in Nigeria, Chief Uzor’s life continued falling apart slowly. After Anita scandal, the story spread widely.
People began gossiping secretly about it. Meanwhile, Chief became obsessed with finding Rachi. He started regretting his choices. Sometimes late at night, he would sit alone drinking quietly and remembering old memories. One day, he drove to her parents’ house again because he couldn’t bear it anymore. And then, he roared, “I give you 4 days to look for my wife, else.
” But how will her parents do so when they themselves don’t even know the whereabouts of their daughter? Weeks later, Rachi finally contacted her parents. That day, her mother screamed so loudly that neighbors thought something terrible happened. Rachi, “How are you?” “I am fine, Mama.” “My daughter, where are you?” “Mama, I am safe.
” Her parents cried heavily on the phone. Then, slowly, Rachi explained everything she went through. The loneliness, the fear, the pregnancy, the struggle abroad, everything. Her mother cried painfully. “Oh, my dear, you suffered all this all by yourself?” Rachi smiled sadly. “Mama, ; [laughter] ; I had no choice.” That was also when her parents informed her about Anita and the DNA scandal, plus how Chief had been on their neck.
Rachi became quiet for a few seconds. Then she simply said, “God does not sleep.” As she dropped the call, suddenly her eyes fell on an old Bible sitting inside one corner of the room. The Bible looked old because she barely touched it for years. Slowly, she picked it up, and that was when memories rushed back.
Campus fellowship, evangelism, and the young Rachel who loved God passionately before marriage happened, before wealth happened, and before she became consumed by pleasing Chief Mazi and maintaining appearances. Back then on campus, people used to call her Mommy Chio. Not mockingly, but because of how devoted she was.
She remembered leading prayers with tears in her eyes. She remembered fasting willingly. She remembered how peaceful her heart used to be and how she used to hear God speak to her. Then suddenly, she began crying because somewhere along her journey, she lost her relationship with God completely because she slowly made a man the center of her existence.
Chief Mazi’s happiness became her happiness. Chief Mazi’s approval became her validation. Chief Mazi’s home became her entire world, and without realizing it, she drifted far away from the woman she once was. For the first time in years, she knelt down properly to pray. “God,” she whispered through tears. “I lost myself.” The crying that followed that night healed something deep inside her, and slowly, Rachel returned to her first love again.
She started attending church. She started praying again. She started reading her Bible again, not because she wanted revenge or because she wanted God to punish Chief Mazi, but because she needed that peace. Strangely, the closer she drew to God again, the lighter her heart became. Bitterness slowly left her. The anger reduced and the constant pain softened gradually.
Eventually, she decided to enter the medical field. The small jobs she was doing were not enough for the kind of future she wanted for her children. So, despite the stress, despite being emotionally exhausted, she returned to school. People around her thought she was crazy. “How will you combine work, children, and studies there?” they asked.
But Rachi had already survived emotional destruction. Compared to what she endured inside Chief Francis’ mansion, sleepless nights studying felt easier. So, she pushed herself. ; [snorts] ; There were days she nearly collapsed from exhaustion, but she refused to stop. Years later, she graduated with excellent results.
The same woman people thought would die without a wealthy husband now stood proudly in graduation robes while her children screamed happily from the audience. That day, Rachi cried deeply because if this is not restoration, then tell me what else it is. Soon after graduation, she secured a very good hospital job. Life became easier gradually.
She moved into a better apartment, bought a car, and started smiling more. Meanwhile, back in Nigeria, Chief Francis was now old and lonely. Remember from episode 1, the age difference is much. No more womanizing, no more public enjoyment, and no more noisy lifestyle. Even his workers feared him because he was constantly quiet and moody.
The mansion itself became depressing, cold, empty, and punishing. Strangely, after everything that happened, Chief Francis started fearing women deeply. One by one, he removed most female staff from his businesses. Secretaries, assistants, receptionists, almost everybody, including Esther. Then one evening, something happened that completely scattered the little pieces they had left.
He was scrolling through the internet absentmindedly in his office when suddenly he froze because one of Rachel’s old friends had uploaded birthday pictures. At first, he almost scrolled past casually, but when he looked closely, he saw it was Rachel standing beautifully beside a birthday cake surrounded by her children.
His heart beat changed immediately. After all these years, this was the first clear picture he had seen of her. And what shocked him most was not even her appearance, it was the peace on her face. Rachel looked lighter, calmer, and healthier, almost like somebody who finally escapes bondage.
Then suddenly, he noticed the boy standing beside her. His breathing stopped. Slowly, he zoomed the picture and the phone nearly fell from his hand. The child looked exactly like him. The same eyes, same nose, and the same expression. Chief Funze sat there for almost 30 minutes staring at the screen. Then finally, tears entered his eyes because life had completely The son he nearly destroyed his marriage searching for was with the woman he betrayed.
At that moment, he realized something painful, that God had already answered his prayer long ago, but because of impatient, pride, and pressure from society, he destroyed the very blessing prepared for him. That night, Chifuze shocked everybody. Pride left him completely. He went live and removed every garment of pain, shame, and pride.
Please, Rachael. Chifuze is no longer the same man, he said. I only want to see my children. I have suffered enough for my mistakes. He explained what he did. A lot of fact that he didn’t like. At first, he expected sympathy. But social media now, they dragged him mercilessly. They flooded his comments.
Now you remember you have a wife, Abi. You abandoned peace and now you have carried problem for yourself. ; [snorts] ; Oga, enjoy your life o and leave our daughter for us. Leave her out of your regrets. Comment after comments tore him apart. It was majorly from my gender. What do you say about women supporting women again? Eventually, the dragging became too much and Chifuze locked his profile completely.
Back in America, Rachael saw the video because it went viral. She read the comments silently with mixed emotions. Pain, pity, closure, then finally peace. Will she go back? That I don’t know. The ball is in her court. Dear Kama try. One beautiful lesson from this story is that we should never lose our relationship with God because of material things, comfort, or human beings.
Sometimes, when life becomes sweet, we slowly drift away from the things that once kept us grounded spiritually. Rachael was once a young woman who loved God deeply, but along the line, marriage, wealth, status, and the pressure of maintaining a rich man’s home consumed her completely. Without realizing it, she began building a tall wall around Chifuze instead of around God.
And sadly, when that marriage shook, everything around her shook as well. That is why you should never make a human being your source of identity, peace, or purpose. Money can fail. Marriage can disappoint. Human beings can change unexpectedly, but God remains constant. One thing I personally love about Rachel’s story is that even after trial and pain, she found her way back to God and back to herself.
And sometimes, that’s the real miracle, not just escaping suffering, but rediscovering who you truly are. So, my dear Kama child, build your life beyond material things. Love deeply. Yes. Enjoy comfort. Yes. Pray for a good marriage. Oh, yes. But never become so consumed by earthly things that you lose your spiritual foundation because many times, when people lose God while chasing comfort, status, or human validation, it rarely ends well.
