‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Left Speechless After Ken Jennings Drops Unexpected Joe Buck Detail On-Air, Igniting Confusion, Laughter, and Wild Reactions—Now Viewers Are Asking Why This Surprising Moment Was Never Talked About Before

Despite all of the Jeopardy! spinoffs filming on the Sony Pictures lot, fans were surprised by a detail that host Ken Jennings revealed. He shared what ESPN Jeopardy! host Joe Buck‘s snacks or choice were, but fans were more focused on another detail.

“I just got back in my Jeopardy! dressing room after the legend @joebuck, the host of the forthcoming ESPN Jeopardy!, vacated,” he wrote.

“Is it possible that Joe’s snack rider is: three (3) cans of smoked almonds and a Costco tub of Red Vines the size of a human head? I doubt it very much, and yet here we are.”

The photo featured a 3.5-pound container of Red Vines Original Red Twists. The front had a football play on the front of it, which was appropriate for ESPN Jeopardy! and Buck, since he is a sports commentator.

Then, there were three mini containers of Blue Diamond almonds — lightly salted, honey roasted, and smoke house. Next to them was a jar of almost completely used honey and two mini water bottles.

While game show fans were fascinated by the snacks and also wondered what Jennings ate backstage, many of them were shocked by the fact that he shared a dressing room. “You share dressing rooms?” a fan asked with a shocked face emoji.

“You shouldn’t have to share a dressing room, king,” another wrote.

“Ken is the GOAT. He shouldn’t have to share a dressing room,” a third added.

The only other two Jeopardy! hosts are Buck and Colin Jost, who hosts Pop Culture Jeopardy!. The regular Jeopardy! filming season is winding down, but ESPN Jeopardy! is just ramping up as it debuts this summer, so the hosts are bound to cross paths some times in the next few weeks.

Since all the versions of Jeopardy! are filmed on the same lot, it makes sense for the hosts to share a dressing room, with Jennings most likely getting the most use out of it.

A premiere date has not yet been announced for ESPN Jeopardy!, but filming began the second week of May. The streaming-only spinoff will be one hour long and have Triple Jeopardy. It will only feature players associated with ESPN.
