His Jeopardy! journey inspired a movie
His sister, Jen, is a screenwriter and producer. She based the movie Quiz Lady, starring Awkwafina, around Chris’ journey to get on the show, he told 6ABC. “Maybe you can call me ‘Quiz Guy,’” D’Angelo told the outlet. “That’s fun. It works. But, you know, I don’t have a lot in common with Awkwafina‘s character beyond the game show interest and trying to get on the show for many years. Finally, this year I got the call,” he said.
